Airport to hotel transfer - Venice

Hi all,
I'm taking the wife to Venice end of May b/holiday and am after some recommendations for boat transfer from the airport to the hotel (or as close as we can get)
Ideally a private speedboat as long as it's not megabucks (though I know it will be expensive) or a decent water taxi? If the latter are these just picked up outside the airport or pre-bookable?

Thanks all for your comments - I'll do some more homework.

I've booked the American-Dinesan, a smaller hotel just the other side of the main canal from St Marks. Booked based on recommendations here and the reviews on trip advisor etc.
Staying around St Marks was 2-3 times the price and for me, likely to be too crowded and touristy.

Great recommendation - couldn't be easier. Booked on line, printed voucher, walked from arrivals to the quayside and straight onto a waiting boat.

Hi all - got back Wednesday and used Motoscafivenezia, great service and only 35 minutes straight to my hotel door. It also made a great experience, nothing like standing at the back of the speedboat, wind in the hair and the sun out even better passing the waterbus crammed full of other holiday makers and suitcases - really relaxing and exciting at the same time. Plus a 10% discount when booking online a return journey.
