Romantic Hotel in London?
Discussion
It's my girlfriends birthday in a month and I want to take her to London for a night.
I'm new to this relationship malarky, although I am getting the hang of it and am trying to impress.
We're both young (18 and 22), Ideally I'd like somewhere with a nice view, be in close proximity of some nice things to do in the day and maybe have a spa or something for her?
Budget's not massively huge although I do want to treat her.
Any suggestions?

I'm a big fan of the Swisshotel Howard on the North Bank, right on the bend by Temple tube.
River view rooms get a view all the way up to Battersea one way, and Canary Wharf the other. Also probably the cleanest hotel I have ever stayed in, and very nice, professional staff. None of the fawning you get at the more famous places. Although I have to admit I can be a fan of that too!

Malmaison?
They have some decent offers that could save you some cash & gain you brownie points, and also have a decent spa.
Sundays are very good value - if you spend £75 in the restaurant the room is £25 (although for the london one, I suspect that figure will be inflated slightly, but still good value)

Do you plan to take her up the Shard?
Ooo er missus.back to topic this website always comes good for finding couple orientated hotels:

Quirky, comfortable and the epitome of cool with excellent restaurants and chill out spaces - albeit no spa

Out in Chiswick but just around the corner from Turnham Green tube, so very accessible too.

I went there with my missus when I was younger, went down really well, got river view. Breakfast I recall was quite expensive so we went to Smiths of Smithfields and had a massive plate of fry-up while they played chill out music in the background, sounds unromantic but we loved it. I seem to recall an offer on lastminute.com at the time. She's now my wife so I think it kind of worked.River view rooms get a view all the way up to Battersea one way, and Canary Wharf the other.
