Just realised there's a pretty big gap in my travelling schedule in October and November so looking for suggestions on where to go for 4-5 days. I'm a contractor so don't really want to take too many days off (booked my long holiday this year already) but could maybe stretch to a whole week.

Requirements are:
- Somewhere interesting and unusual, been to all the usual European and Asian places.
- Don't mind packed schedules or long road trips, we are young and energetic smile
- We like natural scenery and local food/culture rather than big cities and museums.
- No beaches or cruises etc.

Would love to do a big South America tour but not enough time... maybe next year!
I'm thinking central Asia (Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, etc.), anyone got other suggestions?

Does 4-5 days include travelling? If so, then somewhere in Europe.

Where have you been already?
Yeah, includes travelling time. But we are very much weekend warriors, managed to do Jordan in a bank holiday weekend smile

Been to all of Western Europe and half of Eastern Europe, but after a while it all gets a bit samey... I was looking at Russia but the visa costs £100!!

Or are looking to tick off as many countries/places of interest as possible?
Basically yeah smile
Will start revisiting places later when we've done all the globetrotting.

Where have you not been to?
So in Europe, have not been to: Estonia, Lithuania, Belarus, Ukraine, Romania, Serbia, Bosnia, Bulgaria. That's quite a lot of countries actually... but none of them are really that inspiring to be honest.

Marrakech?
That's a good shout actually.
Couple of days in Marrakech, a couple of days to the Atlas and maybe finish with day in Agadir?
Been there already, certainly a unique and interesting experience but not sure I'd ever want to go back.

Leaning towards taking off a whole week now so potentially have 9 days smile

So it's been decided and booked - gonna do a road trip around west coast USA. Not too adventurous I know but the mrs has never been to the states.

Now onto the important questions - Mustang, Camaro or Corvette?
And is Laguna Seca open to the public? smile
