So I've got £1000....suggest a week away for family of 4

I've been working all thru the summer holidays and feel that my kids really need a break....I've got around £1000 to spend to take us away.....any suggestions?

My little 'uns are 6 and 8 and have never been abroad (apart from Eurodisney) and I'd love to take 'em on a plane and fly off somewhere warm.

I've been looking at teletext holidays but the cheapest weeks abroad seem to come in at around £1200 and for that the chances are we'll end up in a fleapit.

Looks like it'll be in the UK......just gotta keep our fingers crossed for the weather.

The £1000 doesn't include spending money by the way

I'd do 5 days instead of a week too!
