We've decided to have our Hol of a life time either next Easter or Easter 2015.

Had a quick look last night on Virgins Website and I'm seeing mainly 13k Holidays !! Way, way out of our price range.

So advice please from the Florida collective who have already done the leg work...

I want it to be an all in package.

I don't want to rent a Villa.
I don't want to hire a car.

Traveling : Me, Mrs H and Little H.
Cost : Must not be over £7k including everything.
Parks to visit : SeaWorld, Disney, Universal any others ?

Maybe a visit to Kennedy.

Are we going to get a decent holiday for that price with a nice place to stay ?

Next Easter and Easter 2015 are the same thing!

Easter is about the dearest and busiest time to go.

How old will Little H be when you go? This will make quite a difference to theme park ticket costs (free if the kid is under 3 when you start your holiday).

This is a car forum and you're saying you don't want a car? It's positively mental not to have one possibly unless you're staying on-site (within WDW) and even then we always get one. We had a villa for our last trip (got back last week) and we had 2, even though everyone fitted in one car.

Usually it's cheaper to sort out flights and accommodation separately but not everyone is comfortable doing that. Try somewhere like Charter Travel.

Need to decide which area you want to stay in.

Thanks all :-) Yeah I meant 2015 / 2016 !

This maybe a 'Car Forum' But this is the 'Holidays & Travel' part of that Forum. Am I not allowed to post unless I hire a car ? ;-)

Like I said I do not want to hire a car so please leave it at that ... I don't want this to degenerate into a 'He's not hiring a car' lets bash him thread ...

I have done the Florida thing 3 times and experience tells me it cannot be done without the use of a car unless you want to spend the whole time in WDW.
I was hoping that staying in a decent hotel they would run a courtesy bus to the various parks ?

This is not a bash.

Please think carefully about not having a car. The US is not public transport friendly. You will seriously constrain yourself without a hire car at least for some of the time. I'm sure you have good reason not to get one, but for a holiday of a lifetime you should consider it.

Yes ... Well lets say then that if your post involves car hire from now on then please don't post. I understand what everyone is saying and have taken it on board.

I would like to hear from people that have done the Florida trip without a car.... If their are any !! ;-)

OK...

So I need a car and a villa biggrin

Is a villa overkill with just the 3 of us ?

What time of year would you recommend ? I thought Easter because the temps would not be too bad and Little H has 2 weeks off school.

I went twice when I was a kid in September and both times we just missed Hurricanes !

Not to hire a car is bonkers. Makes no sense. Will spoil the holiday.
Thanks I think we established that on page 2 ?
