Cuba in March = mosquitoes?
Discussion
Just back from one holiday and planning the next. This time a 2-week trip to Cuba (non-resort) next year.
One thing I really need to check after the Croatian experience: are Cuban mozzies in abundance year round? Do hotels have proper mozzie screens?
My Other Half thought it rather funny that in Croatia, I got bitten to pieces (about 20 times in one night) and she got bitten not once. Seems some people are tastier than others. And she can sleep while they buzz around and I can't. Harrumph!
I gather that Cuba has lagoons/swamps, so will be trying to avoid staying near those. But we plan on a few days hiking. Does DEET work well there? Etc
All advice welcome.
