Windermere - Hotel/Restaurant/Things to do ???

Good Morning PH Collective,
My better half has told me we are going to be enjoying a Weekend break in the Windermere area!
Was wondering if anybody has any recommendations regarding hotels/restaurants and 'what to do' in the area?
Accommodation £200-£300 budget total for 2 nights
Only there from midday Friday to midday Sunday so wont have time or inclination to yomp 17 miles....
