Aberdeen - places to eat and drink

Up there Monday to Thursday next week with work so any recommendations for places to eat (not italian please) or decent pubs (ideally with a good choice of real ales) near the centre. Were staying near the Travelodge on Bridge Street so near the quays.

Thanks all, back in England now. Thought there were just the 2 of us but ended up being 4 so more difficult to get decision made. Went to Manzils Monday night and the food was terrible - tasted of nothing and the chicken and lamb dishes almost tasted identical. Went to the Wetherspoons (end of Union St) and there was a beer festival on so plenty of ale choices.
Food is fairly good in there also.
