Since we had kids we havent actually been abroad whilst they were all little ones ( apart from the honeymoon in Newyork without them lol )we have been to centre parks and the lake district many times instead..
So just doing made up man maths in my head I calculated 4k costs (with no research whatsoever...) for a family holiday
for next year and I promised somewhere hot, villa, pool, waterpark and beaches nearby.. Great.. 3 kids and the wife happy..

Then start to look at booking and prices in the school holiday period....

fk me!

2 weeks in Costa Dorada is coming in at 8k including villa, flights booked in advance with budget airline, hire car and waterpark passes for one week and that isnt including food and spending money surely I have made some schoolboy error in my calculations..

Certainly worth booking things separately, ie Ryan air type flights and book accommodation though somewhere like, homelidays, ownersdirect or similar, much cheaper.

Matt
that was booking all individually..
