Ok guys flame me if need be!

I'm going on holiday later in the year its my only trip away.

Single trip insurance - £37.75 defaqto 5* policy

Annual cover from any provider at this level is over £120 for myself and partner.

Any drawbacks to just using single trip cover?

Concern is I'm going to morocco and want to make sure I'm adequately covered in case of unrest whilst I am there or cancellation. If my insurance starts when my trip starts am i covered if my trip is cancelled before the insurance start date?

Wasn't bothered by the unrest until i saw the government advice.

I know that but morocco is not in that situation

see below for Syria which is.

The Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) advise against all travel to Syria. British nationals in Syria should leave now by any practical means. The FCO is not able to provide consular services, and won’t be able to help your evacuation from the country.
