Hi All,
Spent a lovely week in the south of France at the end of March in a Hertz hire car. On Saturday, I received two letters. First one was from Hertz advising that they had charged my credit card €20 admin fee for having to share my details with the French authorities.
Second letters was from the French speeding body (could not believe this, as it seemed too efficient for the French authorities) advising me that I had been clocked @ 98KPH in a 90 KPH zone, so effectively 60 in a 55mph zone. Fine €45. I am guilty so will pay up.

The interesting bit is that they only give you an allowance of 3 KPH over the limit, which I thought was a little stingy.

The Shame of it is after many years of V8 wonderfulness, the first speeding ticket I received was at the wheel of a Fiat 500. paperbag

You have been warned!
