I need some recommendations of nice places to stay (preferably pubs with rooms) along the Norfolk/Suffolk coast for 2 nights away this thurs and fri for the missus birthday.

We've done Sheringham/Cromer loads of times to was thinking more Suffolk area and not in any of the big towns. Been looking at Southwold but I can't see any pubs there that have rooms. Walberswick has the Bell but as the ferry isn't running we'd pretty much be stuck there.

Would be quite a lot of booze involved so don't want to have to drive much. biggrin

Any ideas chaps? About £100 a night is max budget. Aldeburgh maybe? Thinking more of pretty little villages and pubs with low beams - that sort of thing

Thanks biggrin

Edit - I can't correct the typo in the title frown

Thanks for all the advice guys smile

We've been to Wells a few times camping but the missus wasn't too keen on it for some reason

Had a few dinners at the White Horse in brancaster and it was lovely but bloody expensive for a room

I've booked 2 nights at Home@21 in Southwold near the pier. Will most likely pop over the river to Walberswick for lunch on Friday at the Bell unless anyone knows of anywhere better for a bit of lunch

Missus wanted to do the Adnam's brewery tour so got that booked too smile
