Places to eat in Bruges?
Discussion
I took my girlfriend to this place for her birthday last year - would definitely recommend it!

Thanks for the suggestions.
We've booked Ribs N Beer and a Thai place (she likes like Thai, I'm very meh about it).
Also looking to go to In't Niew, the food there looks very nice. We tried to go last time but it was full, so It looks like I will need to make a phone call to Belgium!
Also booked De Halve Maan tour as well.

Wholeheartedly agree with this one - great place. Who can argue with beer and chocolate coated ribs? Also http://www.depepermolen.com/ - little known but fabulous.

There is a place just off the main square if the clock tower is behind you it is the top right exit and about 50meters Max down there on the left hand side.
It has 800 beers on site and they give you a HUGE beer menu. But beer aside the goulash and beer stewed beef and dumplings or duck etc were perfect. Problem is you get too wasted there .
Point of note in the square and just off it say having a mere 2 small beers and only 2 courses for a couple we were spending €120-130 a pop....it most certainly isn't cheap but very good.
One tip don't waste money on the horse ride instead go on the canal cruise a fraction of the price and you see so much more

chocolate coated ribs
Say what?!?!?!?!House special ribs are covered in a beer and chocolate sauce.
I know how it sounds - but they're really good!
Next time I'm in Bruges, I'll give it a go!
I regularly eat the "best ribs in America", so would like to try the best ribs in Belgium!

The ribs were excellent. We had the smokey bbq and spicy bbq. Couldn't eat more than two portions as they're just so meaty. The meat fell off the bones. CheersTheAngryDog said:
