Need inspiration advice...city break w/c 7th Sept...help!

Gah! Totally frustrated by the gaggle of crap websites that are lastminute/expedia etc etc. I've got w/c 7th Sept off, and I just want to see what deals are available...I want to book a reasonably priced break for 3 or 4 nights.

The above websites are all pants. You have to know where you are flying from, and where to, and on exactly what day. Is there a site out there that just has deals for people with a bit of flexibilty on departure airport, destination and country? As in, select some dates and bingo, here are some deals, + or - a few days on the departure/return...

Or does anyone know any good emails lists I need to get myself on?
