I've got a free Emirates 1st Class ticket to anywhere in the world. It's a real one, not one of those wky free Facebook things.

I've done Dubai a few times and want to make the most of the 1st class experience. I have about 7-10 days tops (inc travel).

Can be beach/city/wherever.

I had considered Hong Kong/Singapore/South Africa (been before, missus not too keen on safari though) or perhaps Sydney.

so, where would you go?

They'd all be via Dubai

Should have said, probably Sep or Oct I'd be going.

If going east (from Dublin to Dubai), I'd prefer to not then go west e.g. South America

Would Australia or NZ not be a long way to go for only a few days?

Ticket wise, I did some work for them and got it as an incentive for finishing quickly!

Thanks all.

Oz or NZ certainly helps get me "bang for buck" in terms of miles flown, I just wasn't sure if a few days in one city there was enough given jet lag etc. We will do Oz "properly" in a couple of years.

Another consideration is type of plane. I really want to fly F on an A380, in particular looking forward to my shower with Jennifer Aniston....

Is this just a straight return ticket (with a connection in DXB obviously) or are stop overs and open jaws permitted?
Can do open jaw. Was looking at a round the world Dub-Dubai-Syd-San Fran-NYC-Dub (via their Milan flight). Slightly longer than 7 days though...

fk it. Just spend as much time as you can airborne, eating and drinking as much as possible. For reference, this was the starter in Emirates First class when I flew last year

Nice, looks fantastic. I do however plan on joining the mile high club in either the shower or private cabin...

Lots of flights will be good for my Skymiles too...

Is that a codeshare - specifically who is the SYD-SFO-NYC sector with?
If you can use codeshare flights that opens up even more possibilities.

I can't recall Syd-SFO, but SFO- NYC is with Virgin
