Well the Venice honkymoon it looking like a fail http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a....

The flights awkward for us, very early or late night. The ones that would work for us are way out of our budget. We could probably afford normally but not after paying for a wedding.

So we are looking for ideas, we are completely lost. We have been told by friends to look into Greek islands but we know nothing about them?

We like the south of france, monaco (when its quiet, shame about the cruse ships these days) love Antibes, Beaulieu, Villefranche. Also Honfleur, Chantilly. We also like to be independent, go and people watch in a grubby little restaurant where the locals go.

We don't like the all inclusive type of thing, or tours, or cruses, we are the sort of people that like to blend in with the locals.

Any ideas?

Last night we had the thought of just not bothering.

You can easily get Barbados for 10 nights at that time of year for less than £750 each B&B.
Seriously?
