Getting to Spain with a Dog

Hi all,

Just wondered if anyone has done this and how they went about it?
My missus doesn't like the idea of flying as she doesnt want to leave him in the hold.
i don't fancy driving 22 hours to get there and the ferry takes a day and half.
Has anyone found a quicker or easier way of doing this? i'm hoping there is a ferry that can get there a lot quicker than the ones I've found.
