Canada - New Visa Requirement

Mrs BC and I are off to Canada in a few weeks. We just noticed that we will be needing an eTA (for whatever reason they haven't called it a visa.

Anybody else planning to travel to Canada take a look at this:-

I just did ours online. Funny old process I started off picking British from the drop down menu then later it changes to region so England, Wales or Scotland. Also had to confirm that we had enough $'s for our trip.

Yes it's easy enough to do but I wonder how many are aware of the requirement?

The U.S ESTA, whilst asking many medical questions, don't ask about money/credit available for your trip, nor information about your employer, as I recall.
Canada does.

It's still quick enough to do though.

It's also cheaper and lasts 5 years rather than 2.
