November/December US road trip ideas
Discussion
Folks,
I'm coming to the end of a contract in Ecuador and planning to travel for about 6 weeks afterwards- Probably 3wks around Colombia and 2-3 weeks around the US. My goal is New York, I have bagged an amazingly cheap flight back to the UK on the 13th Dec (£180!).
I initially wanted to fly to SF and then get the train all the way across, it's extremely cheap. However I am now starting to consider weather.
I'd like to see SF/Las Vegas/LA if possible.
Any ideas on a decent route across? Still thinking of starting on the West Coast but want as much decent weather as possible and would also love to see some National Parks so I'm thinking (For the former) a more southerly crossing might be in order.... Would love to do as much by driving/train as possible although budget not huge!
