Suggestions for weekend away with wife, centralish area?

Hi. My brother has agreed to look after our son for the weekend so am looking to take the wife away for a couple of nights at the end of November which will only be the second time in 5 years we have been away together.

Requirements: no more than 2 hours drive from Birmingham, not a city break, decent bars and restaurants, nice hotel, cultural is good, would like to make it a bit special. Willing to spend a bit, but not too crazy. The previous time we went away was the Cotswold's, so maybe not there.

Any suggestions?
