Munich before xmas, top tips?

Hopefully in Munich the week before xmas for 3 nights (2 full days). Recommendations for things to do and places to eat (at a reasonable cost!)?

Have seen a few threads on the place but some up to date info would be welcome, Christmas markets sound fun way to while away a couple of hours.

Will be staying in the Harras area if that helps...

That's where I'll be staying too, seemed reasonable value

Which is why we are not going to visit it on this trip although sure it's very moving.
