Never been before and decided to have a weekend there a few days ago so we're off there tomorrow.

Any must sees, must drink, must eats, etc. please? smile

Get a public transport pass, lets you use the bus, the metro and the trams. Castle, definitely. Use the Trip Advisor "restaurants near me" feature for food on the go. Buy a Russian hat smile
I'm not listening to any of that, Prague isn't in Russia.

The dancing house is great to see, and I believe there's a café/bar at the top which gives good views over the water.
aka the Fred n Ginger building - lovely restaurant on the 7th floor, one of the best meals I've had anywhere (this was about 10 years ago), got chatting to the French guy running the place and he took us outside onto the roof proper as Nike had some promo going on with lasers lighting up the city, great views!

Just looked at the menu, that looks like a definite for Saturday.

WW, we're not going near the castle because they throw German people off it, even though I am not German, I could easily be mistaken for one based on my cleanliness, order, and efficiency.

No, I don't know what I'm talking about either.

Thanks for all of your advice, what a fantastic city!

We crammed a lot into the weekend but are definitely going back, absolutely loved it despite the bitterly cold wind.

From memory we did a 2 hour guided private tour of the old town, the new town, and the Jewish quarter.

We also did a whistle stop tour of the castle and will do a more detailed one next time.

The Charles Bridge, the Dancing House, the amazing clock with the anti-climax of watching it 'perform' on the hour biggrin

We ate our own body weight in Goulash and Pork knee, drank our own body weight in dark beer, did the Lennon wall and pub, saw the weird faceless bronze babies, went in a waxwork museum, and saw a 500 year old human arm hanging inside a church (yeah, of course it is).

Top Tip.

I had pre-booked a private Airport transfer, 18€ for the two of us from the Airport to the door of our Hotel. Black suited Chauffeur in a new S-Class Mercedes, okay so the interior was dark brown leather and made me want to throw up, but for that money I thought it best not to mention it. biggrin

Brilliant trip. thumbup

I told you to get a hat tongue out
I bloody nearly did, temperature wise it wasn't too bad, but the wind was bitingly cold.

I didn't though, I'm an idiot. biggrin

Oh and if you like Chinese tourists, you'll love Prague. laugh

Jesus wept.

Kozel ? Lovely stuff - first mouthful is weird because you expect something that dark to taste very 'stoutish', but it certainly doesn't.
Really nice, and very moreish.

It did get me into a spot of bother with Mrs Adenauer though. One little tiny innocent trump (if there is still such a thing) and she thought I'd eaten a dead cat. laugh
