Go to Gaia, on the other side of the river and visit some wine cellars and do some Port tastings
Eat a "Francesinha", if not vegetarian.
Visit the Ribeira area, the Aliados and Nicolau Nasoni's Clerigo's Tower.
If you had more time... I would tell you to book a train trip from Porto to Regua meet me and I could show round the Douro Valley :-)
I'm looking forward to trying a Francesinha. What wines would you recommend drinking while out there that can be bought readily in shops, I'm thinking normal wine rather than Port. Eat a "Francesinha", if not vegetarian.

We will be staying right near the Ribeira area so looks like a good area to see the main sites.
Thanks for the offer. What will the weather be like at the end of March?
So I'm off next week, I have one issue...I haven't got a clue what clothes to take. I'm obviously packing light only taking hand luggage but the weather seems all over the place. It's been quite warm topping 25c from the weather apps I've been using but then dropping to as low as 6c some nights. It also seems to have been quite dry do I need to take a wet coat?
