As per the title, sometime this summer, to somewhere suitably Eastern Eastern Europe for a Friday to Sunday stag do.

Current issue is flights - trying to find a non stop & cheap flight to one of the cities out there is proving a headache. Just finding a city, checking stuff to do to confirm suitability, then sorting flight details is proving time consuming. Always a stopper such as awkard flight times, or having to have a short layover somewhere.

To short cut it - can anyone on Pistonheads recommend a good city that ticks the above? I had mine in Riga which was perfect, but now need an equivalent city! Looking at Krakow or Tallinn etc but both are shot to pieces with duff flights.

Early Friday morning flight out, any midlands/north london airport - returning Sunday afternoon, cirque £130-150?

Any ideas?

Thanks very much

Thanks guys,

Prague is coming back at £230 return flights, proving expensive

Krakow & Talliin, only seem to be either mid week flights, or connecting flights.

Have a look on that new feature on Kayak where you input your budget and dates and it says where you can fly too.

Thanks very much mate, that's proving really helpful!

Still struggling, Cracow price goes up £100 for a flight if you are not happy with flying late friday to early sunday...

Really frustrating finding a good option, then having to tweak it and watch the prices sky rocket. Airlines know what they're doing here...

Whatever happened to all the lads going to their local pubs for a good session, for their stag do?

When did it get all global and complicated? Is it another American fad we have copied? Who bankrolls it? Is there now a social stigma that you have to do a stag thus?

Seems that between stag night, hen night, wedding day and honeymoon, a decent sized maison could have been purchased.

You only live once. I had mine in Riga and the stories from those 2 night will stay with me/us forever (in a good way I hasten to add) - the £350 for those memories is entirely insignificant. Mediocre efforts, mediocre memories.

edit: As for the cost of the wedding, I do agree with you - they can be insanely expensive for the sake of 'tradition' and 'expectations' but again, can be justified/written off as a once in a lifetime event....

Wedding is early September so unfortunately are stuck during peak times!

Anyone been to the Sofia? One mate hated it, but the flights and activities look ideal for what we are after!
