Gatwick Hotel and parking

Hi, I'm travelling from Gatwick (North) a week on Tuesday and am trying to find where the best place is to stay.

Ideally I'd like to stay overnight Monday and then leave the car at the hotel whilst we're away on our honeymoon. As it's a bit of a special trip, low cost isn't my primary concern...more a decent hotel and as near as possible the airport to cut down in transfer times.
Therefore, somewhere that does a decent dinner would be a bonus. I think there are hotels attached to both terminals, are they any good, and worth the extra cost?

I've booked the Gatwick Sofitel Hotel. Doubt it was the cheapest, but as mentioned earlier it's for the honeymoon, so wanted something nice and also convenient. I booked direct with the hotel who (in case anyones interested) do park and fly deals, or dinner bed and breakfast deals, but not everything together.
It was only an extra fiver to do the valet park option (apparently their other car park is only 5 mins or so away) but after an 11 hour flight on the way back and then a 200 mile drive home, having the car waiting at the terminal is worth the extra few quid.
