Is this too much power for a wooden chassis?

Just looking at this. It looks like it has a hot 3.1 V6 in it with a Capri axle.

Any thoughts on whether that's too much power for a wooden chassis? I thought the standard Essex V6 with skinny tyres was the best combination.

It turned out that most of the engine was missing and the car ended up selling for about £7.5k which is typical of the direction the prices for the wooden chassis cars are going but it was beyond my budget which I'd set at £6k. I regret not going for it now but I don't know how much more I would have had to bid to win it so it's all academic now.
