On a forum full of people who appear to try to be better and more knowledgeable than others, what things are you proud to be ignorant of?

Me - Celebrity culture and everything associated with it. I don't usually watch live TV, and can't be happier whenever I haven't got a clue what a Kerry Katona is or what the fk a Kardashiaianannn does...

Anything to do with Twitter.
I was at a Dell training event the other day, they were twittering the progress.

I really couldn't understand why?! It was a small informal sales course with 5 people including me attending. Hardly the event of the century.

Companies appear to be using it now just to appear "cool" or something, I guess...

Sadly though, many people are proud of it, as if there's some cachet about it. Some "cool" factor that marks them apart from the herd for daring to be different. The most common one on here is when Facebook or Twitter is mentioned. Some berk will invariably pontificate that it's a load of rubbish and generally sad that people use it. As opposed to a simple "I don't use it" or not saying anything.

It's rather pathetic, to be honest.

ETA - just seen Carrot's post hehe That's not what I meant though, that's fair enough, it's a valid opinion that using Twitter for that "event" seemed a bit pointless. What I'm referring to is the "Deliberate Luddite" who'll lambast something for no other reason than they don't use it, or understand it.
Sensitive about being a big twitterer?
Not at all, I don't use it. But I don't feel the need to castigate those who do.
I have a twitter account, I don't post on it but sometimes following comments on the latest good film or technology is interesting.

But yes, having a LIVE TWITTER EVENT!!!! for a group of sales guys telling us about their latest SAN offerings was a bit odd hehe

Football - I know nothing and don't want to know anything about it either. Just doesn't raise any interest in me at all. Even had a football mad mate sit with me through some kind of important game, explaining what was going on, didn't do anything for me. I tried to understand it as it is so popular throughout the world. I guess the football part of my male brain never developed fully hehe .

However I do take a great interest in when important games are scheduled, as the roads are normally quiet at that point for a good hoon on the motorbike smile .
