My wife is probably more intelligent than me but when it comes to technical stuff she astounds me with some of the stuff that seems to go through her head when it comes to technical matters.

The carpet is up at the moment, we had a new fire fitted, the fitters got some soot on it which was duly hoovered up, she now wants new underlay in case the soot migrates up through the carpet and makes it go black, the underlay isnt black, so not sure how it will do that, even when cleaned ?

She was concerned about the calor gas cylinder in the shed and how it would be a danger in a fire, I asked why that was of more concern than the gas in the pipes, in the house, the tanks of Petrol in the cars etc ?

The printer, it has two wires, one for the electricity, one for the letters, I get her ranting it wont work and invariably have to plug the USB lead in.

There is more, just cant remember it just now, is your OH like this ?

Why does everything have to be gendered?
I was enquiring as to whether other men (predominantly male forum) have the same impression of females, not being sexist, but there are differences.

Men get other stuff wrong, stuff that comes natrually to women, this isnt about how awesome blokes are and how silly women are as I dont see it like that, in fact I sometimes get dissapointed when women play the "nothing but a silly girl card" or the "blonde" one as they are letting their side down.

Because men don't care if they are offensive.

Also I suggest you avoid French. Massively sexist language.
I prefer not to offend.

I am actually not a misogynist and dont like men who are, it does work both ways as well, but you are correct it shoudltn always come down to gender.

I am not one of those people that are prod about being male, British, white or whatever, it just happened, seems strange to get all puffed up about stuff you had no choice in and cant change.

But the differences do interest me, I suppose it could be the same with other males but it was my wife specifically that somtimes confuses me despite being smarter than I, she can park the car better than me, better at flat pack furnitire and can control the central heating better.

I think a lot of it is nurture/influence, that why some perpetual batchelors can be a little strange and have questionable personal hygeine.

I suppose whilst us chaps can still change wheels, remove spiders and unblock bogs we will be allowed to stick around.
