I've managed to get myself into a bit of a pickle. My fiance was worried she may be pregnant so we used one of the "Can test upto 6 days before" tests, but as she didn't want to see the results as she was a bit freaked by it she cleverly left it to me to deal with. The result came back positive, but because I knew what her reaction would be I told her it was negative to buy myself some more time to get my head sorted. To make matters worse I'm currently having an extended trip to Texas (the gun loving, God fearing State) with her parents for Thanksgiving until mid December. So, now all I have to do is tell her - just not sure how to go about it.

Texas! - Shotgun wedding and awful photos coming up y'all. Or news video of some bloody battered victim lying in a Texas ditch.
Thankfully our wedding is already set for the 11th Jan. I've done some research and she won't be showing by then.

I'm sure just the kind of husband that every young woman is waiting for. The kind that you can trust to do the right thing when things get difficult, who'll protect, nurture, OR NOT AND THEN TELL THE WHOLE F-ING WORLD OUT THERE, APART FROM HIS FUTURE WIFE WHAT A "LESS THAN WORTHY" PERSON HE IS.

Oh dear, I don't see it getting any better. Reminds me of a friend of mine at college (UK) who married a delicious Texas lady in June '74. I visited Texas in the September to find him not there - they were already divorced.
Kinda appreciate your view here - but I'm in Texas, the only people around are her family, our driveway is 1.1 miles long so the ability to release onto the lovely world of PH is actually rather nice right now. There are very clear reasons why I haven't told her straight away, which are private between her, myself and her family. Sometimes ways to protect and nurture aren't always as straight forward as may appear.

I know right, not having a period for two or three months - she'll never notice.
I was thinking of the dress.

As I'm sure you know, for the healthy development of a baby pregnant mothers should avoid things like alcohol, tobacco, drugs, certain prescription medication etc. But of course she doesn't know that she's pregnant so....
Thanks. The only one of those we use/take is alcohol. We're off to a wedding tonight but she's driving as I can't drive her car here. Tomorrow will be a nice relaxed day and we'll sit down and talk smile

V quick update as it's late... she went for an 'extra' glass of wine this evening at the wedding we were attending so I had to tell her - in the fairness the setting was beautiful, but she was obviously surprised. A previous poster said that it would be the end of us which I sniggered at, but in fairness that wasn't out of the question, so extra pistonhead points to you. Her mum now knows too, and at the moment is being rather lovely about things. I'm on the verge of being a happy parent to be, but looking forwards to tomorrow with a nice clean fresh day!

You`re bloody lucky she`s that understanding!

Both her and her mother totally understood why I didn't tell her straight away, and why I then told her before she had another glass of wine.

That`s not actually what you said in the OP though, is it?
You said you`d told her the test was negative, not that you hadn`t told her the result.

Still, I`m happy it`s worked out for you, all the best with parenthood it`s an interesting time that`s for sure thumbup
Yes, in fairness I didn't tell her mother that I'd previously told her it was negative. It's a bit academic now.

Congrats, having a son is mega.

Now you need a girl, to inherit all those clothes.
It's her parents first grandson, and her father is BIG into the whole Texan sports scene so he's over the moon with a new boy in the family.

We have two nieces if all else fails!
