Has Pistonheads lost the fun factor?

I've been a member a good few years and love the site. Started out on the car forums and now divide my time up among several, it's my guilty pleasure and I enjoy the banter, find lots I agree with and plenty I don't.
At the risk of this being deleted though it feels lately that PH are toning down some of the more bawdy threads. Ladies of Aintree, Women you secretly fancy, there was one about pubic hair that was hilarious and plenty more. Even some posters get reined in or disappear ( probably banned) one calked Queenbee popped up, some really funny stuff from her I and others thought but now gone.
I think a good amount of the appeal of PH was its irreverence and tolerance for different viewpoints, the McCann thread is another example. The lost members make PH weaker I feel and in danger of becoming a bit bland. I know some can rub people up the wrong way but, hey, everyone's opinion counts. And I've no association with any of these peeps it's just an observation. Without doubt the gun factor is dwindling. What do others think?

Yes, I agree. Controversial without being rude to others is a good thing. Just because someone doesn't agree doesn't make it wrong and some of these lost posters are sadly missed. I also remember the fun to be had in posting women of a certain age, how desirable they were, now it's frowned on. SMcP114 said:

dThat how it seemed to me. A few regulars wanted to be QueenBee and took offence. PH IS WAY WORSE OFF FOR IT
The point I was making with this thread was that people like QB are fun. She posted some really funny and telling stuff on Match.com and elsewhere that I found insightful and since she's no longer posting that thread (as an example) is not as interesting. I recall some banter she had with Ikemi and Ali Kat that was quite telling.

There used to be some really good threads that were hilarious including pictures, often sexist I accept but very entertaining. Now someone like Kiltie pops up and pow! The mods step in just as the funs getting going. I say loosen up a bit.

Haha! I don't think you could replace her but she'd certainly add something to the thread and lots of others which she bought to life.
