As some will know,2years ago I lost my beloved mum. Now my dad has been diagnosed with incurable liver cancer. In between these two events I have started playing electric guitar again, aquiring a 50watt amp with effects
And an effects pedal that does things I can only dream of .
In my escape from reality time I play guitar really loudly using all the effects and sounding far better than my very limited playing ability .it takes me back to my carefree teenage years for a brief respite from the inevitable outcome.
Why does it feel so guilty and not grown up ?

For those that ask I am 59 and drive a 300+ bhp t5 and letch at anything with a pulse over 16 , most females say I am a good guy and will stop and pose infront of my camera . Dad has been a musician all his adult life , and thiß is something we have discussed at length
And decided that nothing is finer than bringing pleasure through music.
Just me thinking I don't match up to the high standards of his past. ( ex forces musician )

And yes I have been playing and much alcohol has been consumed and it feels good to hit that loud pedal on the amp ( very good headphones!)
