I sold some stuff on ebay earlier this week. £90. Hurrah.

Buyer emails me afterwards to say that now he's checked, he doesn't have the money to pay. Could I cancel the auction.

Oh FFS. I offer it to the second bidder; no response. I go back to the winner and tell him he's won and he has to pay.

And I get told (with crap spelling and grammar corrected) in response: I can't pay; if you [ie me] had mates pushing up the bidding [I hadn't] you've broken the TOS; you can wait a month and maybe I can pay you; open a case if you like but I don't have money and will say that you had mates pushing up the price; I have "finance problems"; you're not a nice person. All with a little smiley face at the end.

What a fking oxygen-thieving waste of space wktard. Why can't s like this be thrown on the nearest bonfire?

/rant.

Just wait however many days he has to pay. Then report . You'll get the fees back. Relist .
Just follow the process and dont talk to anyone as it's a waste of time.

Did this and got a non-paying buyer strike added to the twerp's account. Disproportionately satisfying.

Also adjusted my seller profile to block bids from anyone with two or more of those in the last 12 months. Once bitten...
