Sharing phone / email / texts / computer with partner

Having gasped at a thread on a here a while ago about MumsNet, I had a play there for a little while.

I'm astounded at the number of people (er, women) that simply demand to see their partners phone or computer or correspondence and any hesitation in handing it over promotes a 'I have to leave him now' 'I'm getting my finances in order' response.

I have nothing to hide, but have always been relatively private and would be horrified if my partner suddenly 'demanded' that ....

Does your partner go through your emails and texts and regularly trawl through your phone?

Yes. I made too much of the email thing. But it was also the 'he was looking at porn'. Leave the b******!

A mate of mine has recently been caught out by the Iphone / Ipad linked account. Working away emailing his latest squeeze whilst wifey is sat at home reading the whole thing on his iPad. Schoolboy error that is going to cost him. He said Apple has a lot to answer for..... Really?

Occasionally I do think that Apple go out of their way to get people divorced: first the 'find my friends' app, then iMessages and soon syncing of text messages on all your devices
