What things or items nowadays are starting to look 'a bit council'? Now before anyone jumps on me for being derogatory to council house tenants, I was raised in one.

The reason I raise this is I see a lot of people with overtly sized televisions in disproportionately small houses. So when I hear people saying "I need a 65"-70" tv" I immediately think 'council'.

Also bmws with poor after market mods....

Any more I am missing. ..just in case I am a bit ' council' myself.

Not sure we have had baseball caps yet perched at and absurd angle, pointing skywards, with thr peak twisted down at the front. Plus....a cigarette hanging out of the mouth and not being smoked.

I think this thread has run it's course, no? When it gets a bit too personal I think we lose the fun..time this thread ends.

Indeed, I am 24 and in the XJ I have music blasting away with the windows up. I did go out of my way to make sure I had the 20 speaker 1200w B&W option.
I rest my case wink

1. So the council estate I pass that has three VW vans (also a few barried up Passats too) all of which are stickered up and have various amounts of tat attached to them aren’t real? Or are you saying it’s not actually a council estate? I can assure you that both are correct, admittedly the estate is small, maybe 20 houses…which if anything just makes it worse.
Don't confuse living on a council estate or in a council house as being 'a bit council'. Wayne Rooney does neither but I am sure he qualifies!

On that subject though how about having a massive DIY swimming pool from 'This is it' or somewhere similar in the front garden....next to the trampoline...and no room to stand.

As do you. Your uninformed yet pejorative positioning would be funny if it was so chronically tragic.

Where does Iceland sit on the PH ladder of disdain? I thought somewhere nestling on the bottom rungs but then saw this picture in the M Power forums, 2 tasty looking E61 M5s, a corduroy and Labrador spec Volvo and what looks to be a Cayenne. Do you think the Waitrose car park was full?

Again people get confused somehow that having money, or at least the perception of having money, does not make you 'council'! You can own a Bentley and still be council, just look at that Italian footballer chap who set fire to his own bathroom (apologies his name escapes me at the moment).

I however offer you Christmas decorations in November, very council.

Oh..just found a new one. Was at a cafe in the Alps and heard this lady trying to order a 'burger and no salad'. When the guy didn't understand she just said the same thing but louder. Then tutted and said to her friend 'you think they would understand if they want my business!'.
So council it scares me...
