I keep having dreams that, upon waking, have me thinking 'what the fk was that all about!?' confused

It isn't just that they're weird, more that they are so utterly random and totally unrelated to anything in my life.

Last night's was something about Ricky Gervais being pursued by unknown men for an unapparent reason. I was watching him climbing an escalator to a multi story car park but the steps were three times the height of normal (for no obvious reason) so he was really struggling. He made it eventually, and being in the lift foyer of this multi-storey meant he had complete immunity to whatever it was he was being pursued for.

No logic, no reason, not a fan of Ricky Gervais, not seen him in anything recently, nor been in a multi-storey car park come to that.

Just me or do you have utterly bizarre dreams full of completely disconnected random nonsense?

I dreamt I was buying some new tyres and when I got back to the car they were red and furry which was apparently the future for all terrain tyres. Cutting a long story short they refused to put my old tyres back on due to H&S bks so I had a huge stand up row with them.

Very odd.
That is exactly the sort of random nonsense I'm talking about! biggrin

A classic wake up thinking 'WTF!?'

I fking love dreams, why can't st like this happen for real!

Another more recent one was that through a series of fortunate events, Porn Star Lexi Belle was my girlfriend. I won't give you the details but go and watch one of her videos. That was a great dream!
I've always thought it would be great if you could video record them and watch them again later. Mind you, some of the more disturbing ones...

If I'm having a dream I don't like, I can literally wake myself up in an attempt to reset it. Even, as you say, get up and go to the loo. But when I fall asleep again, the dream will often resume and pick up where it left off just as if I'd paused it on the telly.
Maybe you never really awaken, maybe you just have this strange toilet dream halfway through the other dreams...

Last night I dreamt that I collected my car from being serviced and, after stopping on the way home, discovered that all four alloy wheels had been swapped for crappy grey steel wheels, but they had put my tyres on them.

I returned to the garage to be told that there was a plumbing issue so the valeters had no water. So they'd cleaned the car but as the wheels were so dirty they had removed them to clean later and swapped my tyres onto the steel wheels to go back on my car.

I then became concerned about the tyres cracking around the side wall close to the tread but they said it was just cosmetic and not to worry...

Not terribly exciting but oddly precise and very lucid.

My dream last night was horrible.

I had woken up (or at least I thought I had) the other half went to the bathroom & the bedroom was pitch black but I could see a shape on the wall at the foot of the bed. I slowly sat up & moved forward to take a closer look when all of a sudden something grabbed my feet & dragged me into the wall! I did actually wake up at that point!

Anyone ever suffered from "sleep paralysis" Absolutely terrifying......
That's a bit freaky!!

I have dreams where I 'wake up' but really I'm still asleep and weird stuff happens.

I also occasionally get sleep paralysis. A couple of times I've woken up and my g/f was asleep with her arm draped over me. It felt like it weighed a ton and was trapping and suffocating me. I can't move and I try to call out but my voice won't work. I'm yelling inside but only a very quiet muffled noise comes out. Really horrible.

Luckily she's a very light sleeper and woke up.

Red ones, obviously. Would have been stupid otherwise! biggrin

So the other morning I woke up, wandered out into the hall and my son was watching TV on a small television in the hall. I asked him what he was doing and he told me that he couldn't watch it in his room because of the man who was working in there.

I went in and an electrician was changing a faulty light fitting. Fair enough but he'd redecorated the whole ceiling and half way down the walls in really shiny chequer plate aluminium. I asked him what on earth all that was doing all over the ceiling and half the walls. He said he had to redecorate because of the mess that was caused by changing he light fitting. I asked him who had chosen the chequer plate? He said he wasn't sure, he thought his wife had. I asked him why on earth he didn't check with me that it was what I wanted, since it was my house? As he was stumbling for an answer I woke up for real.

And yes, when I got up I did have a quick look in to make sure there wasn't actually chequer plate aluminium across the ceiling and top half of the walls! biggrin

Had one last night where I was at some big campsite park thing that was on many levels. I was trying to do something or find someone and ended up on the bottom level. The quickest way back up was up this steep narrow set of steps that went almost straight up. And they were made of slippery shiny porcelain.

Started going up them, and as I got higher and higher they were getting smaller and smaller. As I started to think it was a bad idea I looked down and there was a boy and a man coming up the steps behind, so I couldn't get back down, and I couldn't see the top so had no idea how far I had to go. Then I started panicking about what would happen if someone was trying to come down, since there was no way of passing. I'm trying to grip with my toes and fingernails and force myself on up.

Then I woke up.

As I dropped off again I managed to continue the dream. This time I hit the bottom of the ravine.
I'm still alive so I disproved the theory, unless this is a dream ?!!
The thing is with that theory, how the fk would anyone actually know!? Anyone it happened to wouldn't be able to tell us! biggrin

Not a good one last night. saw this jumbo jet fly over my house from the back garden & suddenly start to climb virtically then fall out of the sky from about 30 000 feet just behind my house. I woke up at the moment of impact.
Unless I'm in need of a pretty big whoosh parrot that's a pretty spooky dream given today's news... frown

Thought this one was worth adding to the thread.

I had a dream the other night that I woke up in the morning to find a Tupperware container with a cake (ordinary sponge cake) inside it lying on the bed next to me. I opened it and it smelt nice so I ate it.

Anyway, I woke up and thought 'that was a pretty random dream, dreaming about a Tupperware container full of cake'.

Thought little more of it (I do have some pretty random dreams) until I made a move to get out of bed, only to find a Tupperware container by the bed identical to the one in the dream, with the lid off and cake crumbs in the bottom of it! eek

Bearing in mind I was the only one in the house, this pretty much freaked me out to be honest.

It was at that point that I woke up for real.
