So what is the score with internet pawn?
Discussion
If you are a male PH'er and you've never looked at internet porn, then you are either a liar or need to seek medical help.
There, that makes me feel better about having the odd peek when the wife is out!
But what is the score with online porn? Once upon a time, hardcore was hardcore, but now it has evolved into all sorts of weird and wonderful 'categories'. I can only assume all that is visible on well known free sites like Pornhub, are legal to watch in the UK and the actors are consenting adults. But is that incorrect? Obviously kiddie fiddling and farm yard activity is well beyond the limits and understandably! But what of the rest? There seems to be a lot of bondage type stuff out there and maybe that's just due to influences from 50 Shades. There's also a lot of gagging going on, which personally turns me off, but whatever floats your boat I suppose.
So in a nutshell, are all of us who sometimes look at this stuff (and sometimes you don't even know what you'll be watching until you've seen some of it), breaking the law? Where and how is the line drawn?

I've got to say it does make me wonder, especially with these new regulations on "extreme porn", for which there is no proper definition. One mans extreme is another mans vanilla.
It's a ridiculous law - and what gets me is that if you're caught with this stuff you can end up on the bloody sex offenders register, name plastered across the papers, council tenants firebombing your house (you must be a "peedo", right?), lose your job and shunned by friends a family. Ludicrous.
It's just that sort of thing that made me wonder in the first place. Nothing is clear. It's a ridiculous law - and what gets me is that if you're caught with this stuff you can end up on the bloody sex offenders register, name plastered across the papers, council tenants firebombing your house (you must be a "peedo", right?), lose your job and shunned by friends a family. I've never downloaded any porn, but have browsed the free well known sites...like Xhamster (). Does that mean I've broken the law? Is someone snooping on me? Am I going to get banged up with Mr Big in the showers!
There's this strange thing in the UK where everyone pretends to be so straight laced and yet we're all the same. If you got nicked for watching something apparently extreme, you'd be marched off by someone who has watched the same stuff, then sentenced by someone else who also has watched it!
OP here. All good points and discussions here and nice to see that people are happy to talk about it.
With reference to a couple of points about what has become normal for young people; not so long ago, I told my own 18 year old daughter that her boyfriend will think sex is what he looks at on the internet. That she should only ever do what she feels comfortable doing and not to bow to any pressure from him. She was happy to listen to the advice, which pleased me!
Also, I can relate to the point about finding an old mag in the bushes etc. At 47 I can recall this from my youth, as well as being excited by simple things like a Hot Gossip on The Kenny Everett Video show. Or was that just because I was a teenager?!!
Finally, I also think it's pure curiosity rather than a perversion that leads you places. Without too much detail, I don't look at porn with a box of tissues at my side. I just flick through things and sometimes wonder why I do. But in doing so, I might see something on well known sites, that could appear rough. Most of this stuff doesn't interest me, but it doesn't mean I didn't see it before I found it wasn't for me.

As I haven't yet seen it posted, the score with the recent changes to UK internet porn legislation are discussed here:

Now that is an interesting article and pretty much refers to my original post. If I've understood it correctly, you can happily watch all that stuff , but you just can't produce a film involving any of it.http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/a-long-list-o...

Pornography produced in the UK was quietly censored today (1 Dec 2014) through an amendment to the 2003 Communications Act, and the measures appear to take aim at female pleasure.
The Audiovisual Media Services Regulations 2014 requires that video-on-demand (VoD) online porn now adhere to the same guidelines laid out for DVD sex shop-type porn by the British Board of Film Censors (BBFC).
Seemingly arbitrarily deciding what is nice sex and what is not nice sex, the board's ruling on 'content that is not acceptable' (p.24) effectively bans the following acts from being depicted by British pornography producers:
While the measures won't stop people from watching whatever genre of porn they desire, as video shot abroad can still be viewed, they do impose severe restrictions on content created in the UK, and appear to make no distinction between consensual and non-consensual practices between adults.

You do have to question how on earth they came to that conclusion though. It just puts OUR pornographers out of business!
But virtually every point on that list is ambiguous. Physical restraint and humiliation, I assume, were in the 50 Shades film? Female ejaculation is just asking for a backlash from the feminists. Urolagnia has just be enjoyed by Bear Grills and his mates. And on it could go.

Don't understand the female ejaculation, bit double standards wouldn't you say
Exactly what I thought. What's the reasoning behind that one?justanother5tar said:

No, you used "porn" and a mod has changed it to pawn.
Although, given our nomenclature here, it should really be "prawn"
Seriously? That's a tad pathetic.Although, given our nomenclature here, it should really be "prawn"
Is there a reasoning behind it?
