If one has a robust disagreement with another member on eg. a thread in NP&E, what is the correct behaviour whan meeting them on another thread?

Ignore them?
Leave the thread un disgust?
Continue the argument, to the amusement / bemusement of the others on the thread?
Realise that although they are criminally deluded re the first argument, on this subject they are right frown ?

Over to youse

I must have been hallucinating : there are no arguments on NP&E.

Or SP&tL.

I am clearly an amateur it this. I have just seen a couple of posters carrying on an argument that started on a completely different forum altogether biggrin

This has been entertaining, but I reiterate my initial question : you argue with someone on one thread, then meet them on another. What happens next?

If you're grown up... Nothing.

But this is PH!
Internet arguments (one-on-one) amuse me.

I say my piece, you say yours, we disagree. There is room for a couple of follow-up posts, but after that, why bother? It just goes round
And round
And round

By now it's repetition, punctuated with insults and snide remarks, and the next few pages bore everyone to tears.
Log in tomorrow, and the stealth mods have deleted the last 1/2 dozen posts, to most people's relief.
