Anyone else turning into a grumpy middle-aged bastard?

So here's the rub: I'll be 40 next year. I've generally been a patient easy-going and affable sort of bloke.
However, I've noticed that as the years go by, the above is becoming harder to maintain.
I now find myself becoming increasingly annoyed, frustrated and grumpy at people and their actions.
It seems to me that a large percentage of the populous are becoming increasingly rude, obnoxious, feckless and self-entitled. This extends to the road, where every other person seems on a mission and adopts a "f
k you" attitude.
I thought life was supposed to begin at 40? Perhaps that's a life as a grumpy bd?
