What does your user name mean, and why did you choose it...?
Discussion
Not sure if this has been done before but I've been wondering about some user names and what they mean.
I'll start with me...
Swampy1982 - So, the obvious part is the year I was born, perhaps the less obvious part is the Swampy bit. Some of you may remember a road protester back in the day, hippy looking chap with dreadlocks and generally grubby looking. Well, before I became a respectable upstanding member of society I had stupid hair, silly piercings and was generally grubby... so was nicknamed by my mates. Now it serves as a reminder about the fun times I once had in my youth. (note - I now shower twice a day, and am no longer grubby unless spending a day with the spanners)
Tell us about yours...
(edit - have asked to be moved to the Lounge, my mess up, sorry)

I collected my first speeding fine on the Deerfoot Trail in Calgary.
And thus your user name serves you a timely reminder about the perils of speeding in Alberta? The Crack Fox said:
I am a countryside pest who moved to the big city to pursue a hedonistic lifestyle but sadly became addicted to class A drugs and frequenting gay clubs. I now live rough round the back of the bins.
/boosh.
This sound smore like a book than a user name! I'd read it/boosh.

I will let you decide which is true:
1) As a teenager I ate a live snail as a dare and from then on was known as Snails
2) As a teenager I accidentally wore a pair of trousers to school with a 'snail trail' on the front.
3) As a teenager friends took my surname and changed the 1st part of it, so it became Snailsbury and eventually I was known to many as Snails.
4) As a teenager I spent a short while living in France and friends believed the French ate nothing but snails and upon my return my name was Snails.
I want it to be Number 1.... I suspect it is number 31) As a teenager I ate a live snail as a dare and from then on was known as Snails

I've had mine since the mid-nineties when I used it on IRC (showing my age and nerdiness at the same time there) - it doesn't mean anything in particular. I happened to like the letter 'K' (I had a tendency at the time when saying "OK" to have it come out being much more 'K') so used that, I like palindromes so made the last letter the same, my initials are AA (another palindrome - yay!) and I really needed a middle letter because otherwise I would have been KaaK (which is just not good) hence the 'r' in the middle.
In a supreme moment of dimness I completely missed the fact that it makes it appear that I'm a girl called "Kara" with a surname beginning with K. Neither of which are true! By the time I realised that I'd already been using it for about 15 years so was too settled to change really
I wonder if appearing like a girl to everyone but yourself has increased/decreased you appeal on forums...
