Unwanted calls.

I've been receiving calls for a 'Mr Mohammed'.

Although registered with TPS for my mobile, I still get these.

I've tried blocking the number each time and then get a call from a slightly different number.

If I try and ask for my details to be removed they hang up on me before I finish.

Normally this would not wind me up as much but I'm getting called about 4 times a day.

The last call came from 07446 225480 _ oversees but if you try and call back get a recorded message saying not available.

A few web searches appear to suggest it's a scam regarding identity theft.

Anyone else having the same problem and have you found a way to solve permanently blocking them?

I don’t answer any calls from unrecognised numbers. If it’s anyone genuine they can leave a voicemail and I get back to them. If they don’t leave a message, I will Google the number to see who it was. Nine times out of ten it will be a spam call – number is then blocked.

I'm blocking each one but keep receiving them with one digit difference in the number.

Download and install "Truecaller" .... chances are that you will not be the only one they call and so their number will be on the database and you`ll never get bothered again.

Yep, a bit of search reveals there are loads of people suffering the same issue.

Thanks for the tip on the app. May check out similar ones as there is mixed feedback on Truecaller.
