This question must have been asked lots. Any current ideas?

I'm thinking maybe a personalised private plate.

Buy a TVR Chimaera.
Just got a car - a X5

Maybe a small convertible?
MX5?
Z3?

Also going away to malaga next Sunday, he's been to many places this year, most of them without me.

No drinks and playboy subscriptions unfortunately. He hasn't at least expressed 'some' interest in those things. He doesn't drink either.

Was thinking about watches but he got himself some last August from Interlaken.

I don't know what your friend's into, but I wouldn't be mightily pleased if you presented me with two strips of plastic that don't quite say my name.
Like the idea of an experience.

It's my dad BTW.

Do you not have any idea what your dad likes or have you not asked him what he likes?
Haven't really asked him about it, would quite like to surprise him with something thoughtful.

Am toying with the idea of a personalised plate...

What watches did he buy.? Get him a 1966 Rolex oyster Datejust on jubilee bracelet, box and papers, engraved from you.

I'm 50 next year and would love this.1500 quid should do it.

He got a Raymond Weil which is a quartz watch and a Balmain watch, which is an automatic watch. I'm not too sure he wants another watch though, I hinted to him maybe a Tag Heuer but he was unsure.

Really do like the idea of getting a watch for him...

The day is nearing. How does everyone like the idea of a cheap convertible e.g mx5?

Not sure he'd like the idea of a used watch. I've spoken to mum, she likes the idea of a watch to be fair so we've started to look for one. Considering a Rolex, personally it's the ultimate watch IMHO.
