So apparently my Amazon account has been completely wiped. Order history, gone. Kindle content, gone. Address books, gone. Cards, gone. Digital content (software serials, etc), gone. On the phone to Amazon now and they seem to know nothing. Wtf?

Haha, so the regular login is with a @googlemail.com address but the last time I tried to login it said the login details were incorrect (on multiple attempts) so I tried @gmail.com instead. Which for some reason let me login, but it's a new account with zero details attached?

I tried to speak to Amazon but the person on their end was, I guess, in a foreign call centre somewhere and the language barrier was proving problematic. In the meantime I logged out and tried to login with the @googlemail.com address again, still no dice so I reset the password and it lets me login and there's all my stuff.

I did try asking what had happened with the original login details and if they could tell me if the password had been reset recently but that seemed a bit taxing for her.

I experienced some card fraud a month or two back so maybe the two are connected?
