Anyone else watching with interest?

My phone has been dinging away with travel alerts as I'm due to fly Dublin to Manchester then get the train back to Doncaster tomorrow.

So far, I think I'm ok... As long as arrivals don't get stuffed in Dublin (which would obviously knock on to departures).

The South seem to be worse - or at least gearing up to be more affected....

My hotel room is on the 2nd foot and it sounds like a right old wind so far...

Gusting to 70mph in Dublin at the moment, looks like the worst of it will hit around lunch for the NW England (where I am).
Apparently 4 flights have made it out of Dublin so far....

Several trees down this morning on the way to the airport. It's died down a little now and planes are moving.

Just been speaking to a flight attendant. Apparently a easyJet held for 50 mins trying to into Isle Of Man this morning. It diverted to Gatwick after the first officer was sick...

Edinburgh - Amsterdam flight crash landed, all OK! ...except aircraft!
Amsterdam has been notable today in that every departure I have seen has been cancelled.

Our arrival in Manchester was around the worst I have seen, I was quite surprised that we did not end up going around... some big wing dips just a few seconds before touchdown.

It's not that much. Arguably it's exceptional weather. I feel the airline did it's best. Don't think I'll bother....

Surveyor, I live in Donny and fly to Dublin regularly. Isn't it a pain in the arse that there's only one flight a day from DSA?! I'm sick of schlepping over to Manchester for my flights!
Ain't that the truth. I tend to take the Flybe over, then get the train back from Manchester after an evening flight...

Not much room left for delays though until I have missed the last train...

How about LBA? Bit prone to wind closures at this time of year though.
Hate the place, hate the journey.
