World events of the last 15 years

I need a little help here, I'm trying to make a point to my brother about something that happened 15 years ago. What major world events have there been in the last 15 years?

OK, to be more precise I could say what happened in 1995. Things like cost of a Big Mac, who was xmas number one etc etc

Also, on another note Eric I know I still need to give you a bell

1995 is the key year. It's the last year the person in question won a title. The season ran from Sep 1994 to Jan 1995. So I could either point out things that happened in 1995 (which was when he was crowned champion) or since the start of the season 15 years ago.

You forget - this is the Big Brother generation. These issues are real and important to people who are the products of a moronic education system and who's world centres on celebrity culture rather than real world events.

For the record, the only time I've watched Big Brother was the time I was forced to work on it back in BB2!
