There are some things in life you want to know the answer to but never got round to asking anyone.

So you experts on here, tweo questions from me...

On some lorry's they have a blue sign that says "TIR" what does it mean.?

In tennis, where does the scoring system come from... 15 - love etc?

Little things I know but would like to know the proper reasons or answers.

Anything like thisd you would like to know?

Love comes from l'ouef meaning egg as the zero on the scoreboard looked like an egg.

In brochures for Bicycles and even on come people's own pictures taken at home, the bicycle appears to be stood there, all of its own accord. How do they make them stand up with no visible stand?
Perhaps glass or clear perspex stands?

I'm afraid so.

PH is dead handy for this sort of thing.

I discovered how they get the skins off mandarins in tinned mandarins on here, always wondered how that was done.
I know how to slice a banana withou taking the skin off.....

Just thought of another one or possibly two, not sure if they are connected.

On country roads sometimes there are signs at the side of the road that are square, one diagonal is white and the other diagonal is black... What are they for? Also you can sometimes see signs that look like verticle bar codes... Any solutions?

On some motorway signs like on the M65 there are little yellow triangles, what do they mean??
They tell lorry drivers where to drop off Chinese illegals.
Are they diversion routes?

You are assuming we weren't involved in Vietnam? Guess again.
My Brother was in Vietnam during the war, he was in the navy, British that is.
