I've counted myself out for a good 6 months and am currently in a brace so I'm. Expecting the worst.

As said above sleeping is hard, my first night last night was unbearable and I slept most of today because of a sleepless last night, I can only sleep on my back which I don't do naturally.

I just hope I can play sport again, fking love rugby frown

feel your pain!

i was man enough to go to A&E straight away, infact as soon as it happened I was screaming ligaments so I knew what had gone.

good tackle mind, I was away going for the corner and the 15 caught me.

cheers. I was hit hard to the outside of my knee, heard loud ripping then unreal pain.

my knee feels like it has support in a straight plane but no support sideways if you understand that, it is also swollen on the inside on a band from top to bottom.

see what happens Monday with the MRI etc

I'm in some sort of blue brace at the moment

fingers crossed its not too damaged

Mr Knee Surgeon.

for something like i have, what is the typical treatment program?
1-6 weeks wear this brace, have another MRI in 3 weeks. (still havent heard anything about my first MRI)
after 6 weeks do they see if its repaired then operate if it hasnt?
what happens after 6 weeks?
how long should i use the crutches for?
What painkillers should i be on?

the old man has said I can go private if I need surgery, suppose I find that out after my results from today's MRI.

who are the best London guys for rugby/sports reconstruction?

after chatting to a few people Andrew Williams name is popping up alot. How would I go about changing from NHS to private? I have had two MRI's but obviously don't have the scans myself etc. or would I have more done privately?

do I just call up NHS say I'm going private? then call the new private guy?

Exactly what i thought, a waiting list to be seen by a private consultant, must be good, or well marketed.

Faras looks good too,

Emailed my NHS guy to ask if he had seen the results, as waitint till the 16 april is a bit long.

He said he had seen them but they had not been formally reported by the radio guys, he says ruptured ACL, fked MCL and little bit miniscus damage. Would recommend reconstructive surgery, which he doesnt do but his matey Paul Cuplan does on the NHS.

Still thinking of going to Fares Haddah though.

all too good to be true,

so see NHS guy today, he confirms from the MRI my knee is fked, i say im going provate can i have my scans, sure i need to go to the mri place and they give them to you today.

go to mri place, no sorry you need to fill in this form post it to mrs X and you get a bill in the post, then you post a cheque back then she posts you the CD, takes 4 weeks!

fk that, so i go find mrs X in another building that is for office staff, i follow a doctor in and find her room where i ask her to do it for me quickly, she goes mental and kicks me out.

go back to the knee consultant who is amazed you cant get them today, he has them on his computer but cant copy them to anything that isnt supplied by the hospital with some encription. all crazy.

So the consultant says he can image link them to the NHS hospital haddad works at, so he can see them there, but then haddad's PA says because their private radiographer cant see them i have to postpone.

so my appoitment with haddad has to be cancelled, i can get the MRI done again privately at 825 quid, and get the results straight away, or i can go to a cheapy place in waterloo for 200 and pay another 250 for someone to read them?

private healthcare sounds like a money pit. Surely haddad looks at them, puts them on a disc and takes them to work for his private mate to have a butchers at? why is that so fking complicated. now i have to wait another fking 4 weeks for the disc.

NHS rant over.

it's cheaper and quicker for me to fly home to Oman, get the scan done and fly back.

if I didn't have to revise for fuvking finance exams I'd be on the plane tomorrow

I did it in feb the swelling is mostly gone. it's just a dull pain now.

not started physio yet, was waiting to see the private guy do I could have a coordinated physio and surgeon who work off the same page. I think I'll use the landsdown club physio as its next to work.

I just can't work out how when I can see a fking image on a computer I can't get it on CD?

let me run the NHS.

oh and I know exactly what's wrong as I've had the MRI results?! ruptured ACL, MCL and damaged meniscus
