Just cut myself nice and deep at the side of mt finger nail whilst cutting onions. I have given it a good clean ran it under a cold tap and compressed it to try and stop it bleeding but it wont stop! I don't have any butterfly stitches and I'm not that great with a needle and thread so was wondering if superglue would work? I have an unopen tube so guess it will be clean! What do you think?

Put some vaseline on top. that will save it itching and help the healing. worked for me when i sliced my hand when washing a pint glass.
Vaseline over the superglue?

Wouldn't use normal superglue. The medical grade stuff does not have the rat poison in it.
My dentist told me this years ago when I used it to glue a crown (tooth) back in.
I would have just opted for the sellotape.
Well its too late telling me that now! rofl

It's a slice not a gaping chasm!
I held the wound closed and dotted a little glue over the edges of the skin. It dried fairly quickly after just spreading a little.

I have googled this and the jury is out on whether it is toxic or not. Dentist was probably after more money.

Tyre smoke- The clue is in the op. "cut myself deep". If it was just a slice a plaster would of sufficed.
It is deep but it is a very neat cut (keep my knifes nice and sharp) I managed to role the blade of the knife over my finger which made it a lot longer and deeper than my normal kitchen cuts!

After being stabbed in the head with a half-snapped brake lever, the A&E staff sealed the wound using superglue. Worked well enough for a few days until the glue fell out during a hot shower - topped it up with some Loctite and it healed up fine.
Ive had cuts glued and stitched in the past which made me think of using glue. Never had my head glued but had it stapled a few times.

Right! Ive taken the dressing off and its all looking nice and neat, holding together well. It did sting and itch a bit but put a little vaseline on and its felling better. Good stuff is super glue!

"deep cut"

ho ho ho.

superglue was a decent call, couldn't vouch for it's grade though, but if it's worked......

I held someone's actively beating heart in my hand a while back, the human body is a wonderful thing. You'll heal nicely I'm sure, just keep it clean and dry.

Well about as deep as you can get on the end of your finger! Any deeper and I think it would have to be re-clasified from 'cut'. I do heal quite well usually, Im quite clumsy so had lots of healing practice!
