NHS dentist - whats the score?

At the age of 40 I've been very teeth lucky and never needed more than check ups which I did privately.....but now my guy says i need 2 fillings and is talking hundreds for each one. But it seems none of the places round here take NHS people???

Am i supposed to be able to get one? or do I go to some remote corner of eastern europe for a bargain?

my private guy was talking about costs over £1k.....!!!!!!


so its just a case of phoning? That will work? Some stuff I've read makes it sound a pointless exercise and that there is no one out there.

Normal fillings won't be that much privately - about £300 each IIRC.

I dont think they are root fillings? They were just talking about white ones being 850 each
