Anyone with experience of these fun little things, particularly those a bit older who have had them long term, or multiples of them? I'm in my 12th year of stones (I'm 33), I've passed several over the years (my last one was a few weeks back, 3mm, didn't even notice!) and found out yesterday I've got another two in my left kidney 'on the way' at some point in the future.

I've had several fairly serious infections, lithotripsy three times (didn't do anything) and it's fair to say I'm a little bored of them now, the pain when they're on the move is absolutely brutal, although I have developed a few techniques for blocking it out as best as possible.

They've reviewed my diet, had a good check of my overall health etc but nothing is suspect (I generally only drink water, and lots of it), they seem to think I'm just prone to them. Has anyone been in the same situation and managed to slow the development of them (or stop them forming entirely)?
