Does anyone else have an almost permanently blocked nose to a degree? Not a cold, just consistently restricted breathing. On the rare occasion I'm not blocked up, only one nostril at a time is ever clear, never both.

I got a nasal spray to try from the doctor and it's done absolutely fk all. I've been like this all my life and never thought anything of it until the Mrs. pointed it out.

Any treatment help?

The nasal spray I got was Avamys, which is meant to tackle allergic rhinitis.

You could try avoiding all dairy products for 4-6 weeks. Many people are intolerant (without knowing it as they've eaten them all of their lives) and it produces mucus as a reaction.
Sod that!

I started this thread. A year on, I still cannot smell or taste anything.

That's a stter.

Thanks for the suggestions, I'll have a look at some of them but giving up dairy is just not an option, I'd rather have a blocked nose. biggrin

How long before anti-histamines are supposed to do anything? Because over a week of them and Beconase has done fk all.

Haven't had an allergy test.

I've been taking cetrizine along with the spray with zero effect.

I tell a lie- bloody bogeys are often picked from my left nostril now, that started not long after I'd tried the avamys spray the doctor prescribed.
